Book your trip
O’sulloc Tea Museum is free and open every day, 09:00–18:00 (until 19:00 in summer). It stands among green tea fields in south-west Jeju. Allow about an hour, or two if you book the 80-minute ₩60,000 tea course. Express bus 151 reaches it from Jeju Airport in 7 stops.
O’sulloc (오설록 티뮤지엄) is the tea brand of the Amorepacific group. It opened the museum in September 2001, and Visit Jeju calls it Korea’s first tea museum. The teacup-shaped main building was renovated in 2023. Its windows now look out over the tea fields and the Gotjawal forest. Besides the exhibits, the free grounds include the tea fields, a tea cafe, a roastery and gardens.
Is O’sulloc worth the detour?
Stop here if you are driving between the west coast and Jungmun, or if you like tea, gardens and photo spots. Without a car it is still easy, because an express bus runs straight from the airport. Skip it if your Jeju time is short and centred on the east (Seongsan, Udo). The museum is about 50 minutes’ drive from Jeju City.
| Hours | Every day 09:00–18:00; summer 09:00–19:00 |
| Entry | Free |
| Tea course | 80 minutes, 60,000 won per person, booking required |
| Time needed | About 1 hour; 2 hours with the tea course |
| Rules | No outside food or drink; no pets inside |
From osulloc.com (Korean) and Visit Jeju, checked 22 October 2026. The museum can open late or close early in heavy rain or snow. In bad weather, call 064-794-5312 before you set out.
What you can do at O’sulloc
- Walk the Seogwang tea field. The organic field around the museum was rocky land that O’sulloc cleared over about 20 years, starting in 1983. O’sulloc calls it the largest organic tea field in Korea. The mist from Hallasan gives the leaves natural shade.
- See the museum and the roastery. The exhibits cover Korean, Eastern and Western tea culture. At the Tea Museum Roastery you can watch leaves being pan-fired into tea, then taste and buy it.
- Have tea and dessert in the cafe. The O’sulloc Teacafe serves tea, green tea ice cream and tea snacks, including “Jeju only” menu items.
- Eat at the Matcha Noodle Bar. On the Tea Terrace behind the main building, with the forest as a backdrop, it serves fresh matcha noodles. The recipe is by Michelin chef Kim Do-yun.
- Find the photo spot on Mansu-gil. This path is lined with about 100 camellia trees. Its photo zone frames the tea field with Hallasan in the background.
- Visit Innisfree Jeju House. The sister cosmetics brand’s house is in the grounds. It sells products made from Jeju ingredients, runs soap-making sessions and serves organic food.
The OSULLOC Premium Tea Course
The tea course takes place at Tea Stone, a private space set against the Gotjawal forest. Book it on osulloc.com. It costs 60,000 won per person and runs in four parts:
| Part | Length | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Garden tour | 10 min | Walk through the front garden and the tea field; media art instead in bad weather |
| Chusa and Jeju | 20 min | Brewing tea, themed on the scholar Kim Jeong-hui, who was exiled nearby |
| Island of flavours | 30 min | Tea cocktails made with Jeju ingredients, with three garnishes |
| Carbon-free island | 20 min | Pan-firing and packing organic tea |
Programme and price from osulloc.com, checked 22 October 2026. It suits tea lovers and anyone who wants a seated, guided hour. For a quick visit, the free fields and the cafe are enough.
Getting to O’sulloc Tea Museum
| From | Bus | Get off at |
|---|---|---|
| Jeju Airport | Express 151 towards Moseulpo (Unjin port), from stop 제주국제공항4 | 오설록 (O’sulloc), 7 stops |
| Jeju City | 255 towards Moseulpo; it stops more often | 제주오설록 티뮤지엄 |
| Jungmun / Seogwipo | 282 towards Jeju City to 동광환승정류장 (Donggwang transfer stop), then 151 or 771-1 from 동광환승정류장2 | 오설록 (151, 2 stops) or 제주오설록 티뮤지엄 (771-1) |
| Back to the airport | Express 151 | From the stop across the road; it calls at the airport, then ends at Jeju Bus Terminal |
Stop orders from the Jeju Bus Information System, checked 22 October 2026. The museum’s own directions page still lists the airport express as 150-1; the bus system numbers it 151. The 151 and 255 use stops with different names, 오설록 and 제주오설록 티뮤지엄, so check which one your route serves in Kakao Map or Naver Map. A T-money card works on every island bus.
By car, the museum suggests Pyeonghwa-ro (road 1135) from the airport to Donggwang junction, then Sinhwayeoksa-ro towards Gueok. Visit Jeju lists a public car park, disabled parking and free Wi-Fi.
Tips
- Check the closing time. Doors close at 18:00 for most of the year, so leave at least an hour if you arrive in the late afternoon.
- Pack no picnic. Outside food and drink are not allowed anywhere on the grounds, outdoors included.
- Rain plan. Most of what you do here is indoors (museum, roastery, cafe, shop), so it works as a wet-weather stop. Only the field walk needs dry weather.
- Buy tea here. The shop stocks the full range, from premium teas to blends and tea snacks. O’sulloc also has tea houses at Gimpo and Incheon airports if you run out of time.
Around O’sulloc
O’sulloc sits between the west coast and the south coast. Pair it with Hyeopjae Beach for a west-coast day, or with Jungmun and Jusangjeolli Cliff on the way south. The exile site of Kim Jeong-hui (Chusa) is in Daejeong, further west. For flights, buses and where to stay, see the Jeju guide and the Jeju region page. For more tea and food stops, see the Korean food page.
